[24-Jul-2015] The house is a mess. The landlord started fixing it up and stopped. There are holes and uneven patches in the house. If you disagree with him he will threaten to kick you. He never gave me an official notice and I told him that under Illinois housing law he has to give notice and the response we got was that the $750 my room mate and I give him for rent was considered "somewhat rent" and therefore we're not tenants. Also, he will not let you have people over unless he meets them personally. We have had problems with ants coming through a large crack in the door frame that was present before we moved in. We asked the landlord to seal the crack and he refused. He is a very unreasonable person to deal with and I would never recommend him to anyone.
