COMMENTS (1)
[15-Oct-2014] 10 children and those living at 23-43 35th st. In Astoria, Queens have had to endure no working lock of the front door of the building since July2014. NYC has inspected the building numerous times since complaints were called into 311. During the inspections additional violations were discovered.

On September 21,2014, Kormas told tenants who had a serious water leak running through a light fixture, to wait till the next day and he would handle it. Calls to 311 led to The Fire Department being sent to the building.

Saturday October 11,2014, Kormas arrived at our home and harassed me. He yelled at me for calling 311 and texting him over the safety issues. The exchange moved to the street where jimmy Kormas yelled, " I am the King of this building. NYC laws do not apply to me. I have enough money to pay the fines. I will take the front doors off the building. " The police were called.

It is Day 108 and still no working locks on the front door. First floor lighting is very poor until the evening. Roof door pulls open during storms and water leaks in. Basement door not locked either.

Do not rent from The Kormas family. They think they are above the law. They have no care or respect for their tenants lives. In the meantime, on October 6,2014 a brand new front door was installed at their house a few door down while we sit with no locks on the doors to the outside world.
