[26-Nov-2014] Classic Nevada County Landlord. Took 2 months to get blinds on the windows. No response to plumbing problems. They sent a "revised lease" to me 5 months into tenancy which removed their responsibility to take care of the lawn and do landscaping, and attempted to change the date I pay rent. I'm pretty reasonable and flexible, but unfortunately you can't unilaterally change a lease and tell someone to sign it.

Our front door had a problem closing, due to being installed improperly. The landlords husband came over to fix it, informing me that I need to learn to shut a door - the door still fails to shut and not one of our 4 family members can open it or close it with ease. When the husband finally got around to installing our blinds 2 months into tenancy, he just left all the packaging trash that the blinds were shipped in all over the driveway.

Landlord's husband comes over to install and setup irrigation timer, leaves his extension cord running through the back patio haphazardly for 6 months. He was suppose to hard wire it into the house and he asked me to move my home office furniture out of the way so he could get in there - so I moved my things, never heard from him.

Bi-monthly lawn care that the landlord is responsible for completed 1 out of 12 months. When I asked about repairs or them following through with their obligation she responded with a letter stating they would terminate the lease early if we found another place.

I'm used to this landlord experience in Nevada County, just another bunch of people doing this county the disservice of living in it.
