[01-Feb-2017] You might get more than you bargained for.

You'll be living in a huge historic house with 2-5 other people. Ellen makes it seem like it's some wonderful community of like-minded folk, but the reality is that she is your landlord, and you are simply a tenant who has to share a kitchen with strangers and must do chores for free. She had a friend of hers move in who sexually harassed me, but she did kick him out eventually. It became stressful wondering who she was going to have move in next and how they were going to behave. I did meet a couple of nice people though. I grew tired of her constantly asking me to do things for her property. Some of the other tenants stole some of my kitchen items. She also had a saxophone player move in who was blowing his horn into the wee hours of the night.

Overall, it's a decent "emergency" place to stay since there is no lease, and it is pre-furnished. But don't be sucked into the illusion of a happy community that will make you feel the acceptance you've been craving your whole life, you will be sorely disappointed. Ellen is pretty cool, but becomes selfish sometimes, like when she tried to keep 40$ of my deposit for a sweeping job that took me 15 minutes to do.
