COMMENTS (1)
[04-Jul-2018] Irwin rents three rooms to different people in his home. His motto for who he will rent to is “anyone that’s willing to pay rent.” He doesn’t communicate well. For example, he sent an email that utlities will be collected monthly. Sometimes he will take one month, sometimes five and there is no communication on timeliness even if you send reminders or ask. I think the one thing I found most frustrating is he is unwilling to make repairs on the house. The tiles are falling off in the bathroom shower, there is mold on the floors. I’ve asked him to make repairs, its been 9 months, I’ve followed up with him. He said he will not fix certain things and instead will raise my rent. He creates lease terms that begin low and short term so that he can raise rent. I started at $1075 monthly, utilities included, in 18 months I am now at about $1500 monthly utlities included.
