[18-Nov-2018] ok, lets begin. I wasn't going to do this but after telling this guy I am leaving he has made life miserable. Its Sunday, 11/18 18 and he has been banging away on the other side of the building since 9am. now its 7:07 and he's still at it not giving a care about disturbing his tenants so lets write his review. Started with him telling us the apartment would be ready for us to move in. we blew off another rental to take this. It wasn't ready but we were locked in with no place to go. He's a salesman, he sold us. He said there would be noise, didn't say all the utilities would have to be moved from our side to the other side. Then as he began his renovation he called me on a Saturday morning asking if I was home. he wanted to bring his plumbers in. I said I'm out but when I get back I will let them in. We were afraid of our cats getting out. five minutes later my house alarm goes off, John texted me saying he was testing the key and MAY have set the alarm off. Cops Came. Next, the electricians come. They are here to move the service for next door to next door. When they were done my living room had no power. they did something next door so I had power but obviously circuits are still crossed. they suggested I leave it and let the other side pay for my living room. AHHHH, Now the plumbers come to move the water service. Keeping it short, they spill a can of primer on the hot water heater which lights a blaze, burning up a antique shelf unit and the shoes my wife wore to our After Wedding Party. I wanted to confront the plumbers but John was so appalled at what happened he wanted to handle it. He did squat and when I brought it up he was going to cover the damages. He never did. he had offered to move the washer from next door to our basement but then said the drain wasn't up to code so that never happened. we did laundry everyday in this little one piece washer dryer. I probably cost us a fortune. it should be noted that while I am typing this at 7:22 PM on a Sunday this guy is still banging away since 9AM next door. . When he woke us up some Sundays back at 8am I confronted him. he apologized but kept on going anyway. Then later on his wife with him standing there said NO MORE SUNDAYS. he nodded. that lasted a week. Now he says he never agreed to no Sundays, just not starting early. I know what his wife said. The demolition, roof ripping plumbing rip out, all done by day laborers on weekends. he hires them points out what he wants and disappears. We have no Idea who we are looking at looking in our windows, but I never leave my wife here alone. She complains that every dish she takes out of the cabinet has to be washed first due to the dust and debris of the LAST 11 MONTHS! I will say this. His day laborer's don't like security cameras. his painters tried to steal my home depot bucket,.he says he has great neighbors. I have learned they don't all feel the same about him. The dehumidifier runs 24/7 trying to keep up with the basement. I have mouse traps I change bi weekly but according to my landlord all houses here have mice. When we moved in I put on all the outlet plates, switch plates, shower head, window shades. I taped the floors to stop the drafts from no moldings. The basement gets wet so I covered the trap door with a plastic sheet. he removed it. Now it gets wet again so weeks ago I took out property and put it into storage rooms. While his renovation has been going on In spurts since last January now he has to replace the main waste pipe because it leaks from nest door. last weekend he said he wanted to schedule that job. I told him we are out of here in 2 weeks. you have been working for 11 months you can wait till we are gone. He agreed. then three days later he texts me asking if I will be here Thursday so he can have to plumbers do the main waste pipe. Like we never spoke or he just payed no attention to what I said. So now it seems like he has no concern about disturbing us since we are leaving anyway and I told him to wait on ripping the entire waste system out until we leave in now 10 or 11 days. we are being punished, so you decide if you want this guy to be your landlord. And as a point of reference its 8:37 on Sunday night now and the sawzall is cranking behind the wall my tv is on.
