[09-Feb-2019] There are two men that run this property that I am aware of. One is "the people person" and the other (Jack) not a very nice person.
I remember when we first started the process of moving in, they tried to charge us a $3,000 deposit just for the water bill (that might happen, LOL) and this is in addition to the regular deposit. Then when I checked with the water company, they said they cut your water off if your over a month late. So, there is no way to run up your bill that high, the water company won't let you. So why he felt the need to charge more for the water deposit? Your guess is as good as mine.
Overall these men do not seem to respect women and people of other races. Jack doesn't respect boundaries and if you nicely ask him to respect those rights he might display a form of disrespect or say something sarcastic and disrespectful.
And please don't ask them to spend any money on things they are supposed to repair or replace. Calling them "Frugal" would not be accurate. They didn't have the decency to clean the carpet (I found a joint roach stuck in the carpet in one of the bedrooms) and when I addressed him about it, it turned into an argument, Wow, their cheapness doesn't fail to amaze me. Then some of the blinds in this house was so old that if you poked the blinds hard enough it would literally disintegrate and fall apart. I have never seen nothing like this.
Then there was the time the floor tile was coming up pretty bad in the dinning area (now remember he had this house for 30 years). We ask him to repair this floor. This dude stood and asked us questions like he was a detective. I mean this guy tried to find some kind of way to blame us for this old floor. But he was unsuccessful in his attempt. So he replaced that section of the floor. This dude was so cheap that when he fixed the dinning room floor (he got brown tile) he didn't want to pay the extra money to make the title go all the way to the wall, so there is this now weird white trimming (old pieces of floor) that is literally lining this new tile.
All I can say at this point is Rent from these guys at your own risk. |
