COMMENTS (1)
[17-Jun-2019] Move in / contracts was a bit of a hassle but since neither of us had done it in a while we took it as “normal” and moved on. While living in the home, it was wonderful - only reached out when necessary, prompt repairs, etc. Upon giving notice that we would not renew our lease, it went downhill very fast. Our apartment was left with windows and doors open and unlocked when finished showing, there were unannounced showings, and the amount of the security deposit that was kept was extremely higher than we were told it would be originally but we were so tired of fighting to get out of the apartment that we just paid to move on. Overall, we moved out early and offered to pay through the end of our lease or until someone else could get moved in and we were still given a hard time with the three months’ notice we provided (more than our lease required). Upon move out, we were asked to keep utilities in our name so that painters and maintenance workers could upgrade the unit ON OUR DIME. I would not rent again from this landlord, even if the pricing was so competitive on one of the best homes in the nation.
