[02-Oct-2019] Maura is very greedy, even though its not necessary. She kept half of my $1200 deposit, first citing cleaning, repair and replacement of things that I cleaned, repaired and replaced that we both went over together during move-out inspection. I sued her, but had to do so in Texas because she lives there, which I'm pretty sure is why she feels so comfortable simply keeping my money. Other tenants, past and present, including the family that moved in after me have similar complaints. They confirmed that she keeps the deposit and doesn't use it to clean or repair anything. He moved in the same day I moved out and we maintain communication so I could cite his testimony in the suit. It seems like a good deal at first and she'll say whatever she has to to get you in, but she's a crook. She separately rents out the detached garage,
the electricity of which you still have to pay. Don't put yourself in this extremely frustrating situation. Hopefully she'll not be able to maintain tenancy and have to sell it so that a better landlord can manage the house. |
