[07-Aug-2020] RENTER BEWARE! The home is lovely and the lawn never needs attention, for Natalie keeps it impeccable. Ted, however, is a NIGHTMARE. He is dishonest and a con. We arranged and paid to be out early, at HIS request to woo higher paying tenants and he committed to compensating us for the unused rent. When the applicants backed out, he reneged on his commitment (in writing) to us. His proposed solution, to pay $500 more to stay 13 days into the month we had already paid for. When we wouldn't agree, he started to harass us. He threatened rent already paid was due on the 30th, (lease says 1st), giving little notice to come by, regularly, for no purpose, just because the lease says he can with notice. Even when posting the quarantine directives for our Covid, he refused to wear gloves and still forced entry. We had to give him written notice TWICE to cease and desist. He stopped after the second notification, for the next step would have been a restraining order. Check the listing against the property assessor's website, as he is misrepresenting the square footage, the number of bedrooms, and the parking capacity, significantly. Check the property assessors website for accuracy. $4,500 is overpriced for the home. We were paying $4,000/month, which is fair rent for it's size and location. We left a few pieces of flatware in a tray behind upon move out. We contacted him the next day, asking him to place it on the front porch. Won't do it, even after we hand delivered mail from the school district that would come to the house for his son -- a year later! Don't rent from this @$$. He comes off with class, but I guarantee, you will regret it, when he figures out he cannot cheat you. My recommendation is to use your security deposit as your last month's rent - or you will likely be out of it.
