[14-Apr-2021] This woman is NOT prepared to be a landlord. On move-in day, the property (inside closets and drawers, garage, back yard) was not cleared of her personal belongings or cleaned. I had to pack her out on top of trying to move in! She let strangers into the home without our knowledge to collect her items and a checkbook went missing. I had to cancel the account and renew with all of my merchants. Ugh!! The home was beautiful but aging. The gas stove and water heaters were improperly installed. Our gas man told us both were an explosion threat. The HVAC was old and froze up constantly, my husband was out at all hours in the Texas summer with a water hose trying to thaw the unit and save her money. She told my husband about her bitter divorce, child custody issues, and financial strains. He felt bad about asking for repairs. She also served us a Notice to Vacate when she received one too many repair requests....at Christmas!! We are currently taking her to court as she is refusing to refund any of the $2995 deposit. We're not worried but the next tenants should be. If you rent from Stephanie Clark...don't fall for the frail lady act. She will take all she can and give nothing back. Take pictures of everything. Document every single flaw on the property. Document every single repair request, no matter how small. You will be glad you did.
