[18-Jul-2021] Every appliance that can flood has flooded and she sends her middle aged kids to repair things instead of hiring professionals to do it correctly. When the fridge broke and started leaking we had to badger her for months to replace it. She replaced it with a fridge that didn't even work but eventually ended up getting a decent fridge. Most of the appliances in the house are outdated and even have missing buttons. The pipes are the original lead pipes from the 50s and are breaking down. As a result, the garbage disposal can't be used without the sink backing up. The faucet in the tub also gushes out water even when you are taking a shower. She refuses to have it fixed because if she opens it up she'll have to replace all the bad piping. She does not respond to texts or emails in a timely manner and blames it on her age. My boss is older than her and can work a cell phone just fine. The house is very poorly insulated and for that reason the utilities are through the roof. She puts that responsibility on the tenants instead of just weather proofing the house. The windows are also the original windows of the house. Some won't open at all and some you have to go outside to push them closed. The bathrooms are not well ventilated and as a result tend to grow mold very easily. The house is extremely overpriced considering she charges about 2400 between the upstairs and downstairs. The only plus I would say is that she doesn't come around often and she doesn't conduct credit/backgrounds check. This property is fine if you're rebuilding your credit, but avoid it if you can. Just avoid her altogether. She is not suited to be a landlord and her kids agree.
