[05-Sep-2021] Renters beware! We rented from Andrew for close to a year. We always paid on time, but my first warning sign should have been that he insisted on cash. We asked for receipts multiple times but rarely got them. Long story short, he didn't give us back our deposit at the end. We gave him the required amount of notice we were moving out and kept to the contract. I asked why he was keeping the deposit, since he admitted we had damaged nothing (in fact, we conducted minor repairs at our expense for convenience sake). His response was a smug grin and saying "You lose. Take me to court" He then went on to brag how he has rented to people in Halifax for years, and always does the same. Our fault for paying in cash I suppose. Don't rent from this scammer, learn from our mistake.
