[29-Jun-2022] If you are considering renting from this man, do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can. He plays a game where he keeps everyone's deposit. He told me flat out when I moved out that it is "what he does". His friend is often at the house working told me the same thing as I was leaving "Rudy will never send you that money". He never returned the deposit, never gave a list of reasons why he wasn't returning the deposit and has had no communication to discuss it, refused to do a walkthrough upon move in or move out and claimed damages that were noted during our move in from my real estate agent. Talking to past tenants he did the same to them. Hopefully this review can stop it from happening again.
He lives out of state but is often at the house next door that he owns. He also shares the garage to the unit, so on his trips he is often hanging out in there, heavily intoxicated and making very inappropriate comments that are racial and sexual in nature. You can hear this through the floors when home. He also made a very inappropriate sexual comment about my girlfriend who was also on the lease.
Upon speaking to past tenants and neighbors I have come to find out that he was once caught stealing the power of one of the tenants to supply his home next door. Now this was second hand information so I cannot confirm it, but our electric bill went up 4x starting the same month he built a pond with lights in the backyard and we changed nothing about our power usage. I think we were paying for this and his unlisted rental unit in the backyard.
I could go on with so many more things, but I just filed a lawsuit against him so I will refrain until that is over. |
