| [05-Jul-2022] Where to begin with Sue Jennie? The fact that she is still renting the upstairs apartment to her ex-boyfriend and he’s the only one in the building who she listens to apart from her attorney? That she doesn’t tell anyone a man blew his brains out in Apt 2 before they move in? That she starts fights between tenants by sending hostile texts accusing someone of smoking or letting their cat treat the hallway like a litter box? The fact you can see outdoors through the kitchen? The fact that she’s a functioning alcoholic who doesn’t retain anything you say? The fact that the turnover rate in this building is higher than anyone’s within three blocks? The fact there are no security cameras, outdoor locks, and people literally just walk up in here day or night? The black mold and dust in the junkyard basement coming up through the vents? The fact that she will lie about pet dander to severely allergic tenants? That she will kick you out if she doesn’t like you or her ex doesn’t without providing a reason even if you are special needs because she’s a bigot? The fact she doesn’t clean professionally between tenants unless it’s upstairs? The fact the only people of color she works with are the landscapers? And she won’t give you a walk-thru if you’re Black. Will withhold your deposit as infinitum when you move out? Will sic her pet big-head attorney on you and slap an eviction notice on your door for not answering her invasive questions about what you do for work? Making sarcastic comments and faces in court in front of the judge when you say you have a cognitive defect and you feel discriminated against? That she thinks everyone who lives here is her employee not her client and that she’s better than them because they rent from her? The fact that she would rather kick you out if you request a repair too close to your lease being up rather than fix it? Or if you don’t confirm to her idea of what success looks like aesthetically she’ll lie to get your rent upfront and single you out when you’ve done nothing wrong and make your life a living hell until you move out? These issues aren’t just with me—I have seen Sue Jennie in action three times now in the past calendar year, not including how abysmally she has treated me and did not return any of my advocates’ correspondence or agree to the federal program to give the city more time to find a new place to live—blindside without a reason to vacate of everyone else here. She makes minimal repairs if any especially on plumbing or painted over windows, and expects you to try first while her Mercedes SUV with SC plates STAYS parked outside the Chevy Chase Liquor Barn in Lexington. I see it every time I pass by to go to Walgreens. My therapist has their work cut out for them. She has triggered my PTSD so often, I am on the cusp of a nervous breakdown. She is abusive, vindictive, a liar, and a horrible person and has been like renting from the Trunchbull if the Trunchbull was Cruella De’Vil. The only people she likes to rent to have penises and she gives them top pick or miserable people just like her with no life outside of these walls who complain about everything and she automatically takes their side. I have never been so horrified by a rental experience and I’ve been renting for twenty years. Never once been evicted. Never once lost a deposit. Now I am on the cusp of having to file for bankruptcy and take my therapy cats to a hotel because I have autism and nowhere else to go and the judge says his hands are tied because the Supreme Court can’t force landlords to work with the federal program. She has Brillo pads for hair and only addresses what the men in the building want and as one of my specialties is psychoanalytic literature as a retired professor, her abusive tactics are in keeping with someone who was sexually abused very young and has never addressed what happened there by sneaking around constantly and using passive aggressive methods to correspond with her tenants while boozing. She needs mental help. Not joking. She does not need another tenant. Nobody rent from this crazy ho unless you want to the experience of living on the street with the convenience of a roof (barely) over your head. |
