| [13-Dec-2022] Please avoid this house and landlord, I lived here for over a year and each time something broke he moved as cheaply and slowly as possible to fix it. I went over 2 months without a warm shower, a month without a fridge, over 2 months without a washer, and most recently he broke the furnace himself by installing a rain cover on the chimney incorrectly, again because he is negligent and won't use a professional for repairs. There is a court case pending now due to his making the house unlivable and not returning my rent or helping with repairs and a pending city inspection. He's been in trouble with the city before for being out of compliance with building code - see current and previous citations here: https://cosaccela.seattle.gov/portal/Cap/CapDetail.aspx?Module=DPDEnforcement&TabName=DPDEnforcement&capID1=22SCI&capID2=00000&capID3=C8494&agencyCode=SEATTLE&IsToShowInspection= I moved out because of the safety risk. He installed a chimney cap blocking the furnace exhaust which led to the motor breaking. Had the motor turned on, being a gas furnace, my son and I could have been killed by CO poisoning. Truly terrifying and I hope to prevent anyone else from being subjected to this. | |
