[20-Jan-2023] Emily Yates evicted me for cooking ethnic food which is discrimination. If you type "Can a landlord control what a tenant cooks" into Google, it will tell you that singling out a tenant who is a person-of-color who cooks "ethnic food" is racial discrimination, even if the landlord is unaccustomed to the smell of spices or of certain meats. Additionally Emily Yates fails to complete upkeep of the yard during the summer months, repeatedly letting weeds go to seed, it took her 60 days and pestering to rid the walls of rats, and her own geriatric cats peed and pooped continuously, with the excrement going days uncleaned, in the common space living room, until the faux wood floors and wall were damaged and the smell of ammonia had soaked into the surfaces. Emily prioritizes her personal life and fitness routine over the responsibilities of being a landlord and providing a safe and reasonable space for tenants. She is a residential landlord and the same expectations of cleanliness and upkeep apply. I don't recommend you rent with her.
