[04-Mar-2026] Unit was filthy with mold, exposed sewage lines, and gunk and debris on all the floors. Extremely strong cigarette smell we had to get out of the carpet on our own dime. Landlord said she would pay us for the costs to clean the carpet when we moved in and never did. Unit failed a health inspection on several counts.
Landlord was extremely rude in all communications and constantly made vague threats of charging us absurd amounts for nonsense damage (such as threatening to charge us for a new hvac system because she thought a window was left open once).
Landlord tried to get out of doing requested repairs and even legally mandated repairs after the health inspection. Landlord was extremely rude to not only the tenants but the health inspector as well.
Landlord slowly drove past the unit every day seemingly spying on us.
Landlord also at multiple tried to gain entry to the unit without required 24 hours notice, and was combative and rude when I asserted my right to deny her entry since we were not expecting her at all.
Landlord would often not reply to my communications. Landlord did not complete a move-in inspection, and later tried to claim damages based on the lack of data. |
