[27-Nov-2009] Don't little the little old lady act fool you - this lady is mean and out to rip you off. Plus, she is completely nuts (seriously, crazy) and impossible to communicate with. She rents make-shift apartments out of her home that are illegal - the city inspectors were investigating her. She went to great lengths to move all of the refrigerators and kitchen appliances out of the apartments on the day the city came to inspect (she was claiming that she was just renting "rooms" in her house, not apartments). The electricity and water bills are all in her name and she write you a cryptic note each month telling you how much you owe. The bills are 2-3 times what you would expect and you never see a bill - I have no doubt she is dishonest with the bills. All of the mail gets delivered to one mailbox and she sorts it - good luck if you have some thing important - it may take a week to get your net-flixs...if your mail doesn't get lost completely. She also accidently opens your mail, including credit card statements and doctor bills. You can't question her about the bills or anything else, she is absolutely impossible to communicate with - she doesn't listen to what you are asking and gets confused easily. Also, if you ever question her, she gets very hostile and has a know-it-all attitude, even though she is a complete idiot. You don't have any privacy. She (and her daughter who lives next door) watch everything you do. My boyfriend was staying over too often, so she doubled my "share" of the electricity and water bills. She will frequently call you (she'll even call you at work) ranting about some irrelevant thing. Often times there is a miscommunication with her spanish-speaking cleaning lady that she will blow way out of proportion. Also, since she does a month to month lease, she will raise the rent will little notice. Also, don't expect to get your security deposit back.
