COMMENTS (1)
[24-Sep-2010] This landlord upon moving out did not return the deposit until well after 30 days from receiving the key and forwarding address. He tried to charge full amount to replace the carpet inside. The carpet inside however was already permanently stained when we moved in, which he acknowledged. He gave the reason that he replaced the carpet for general wear and tear but after moving out, he put the condo on the market for sale. He also charged us for the carpet removal fee associated with the old carpet. We lived in the unit for less than a year and did not cause additional permanent damage to the carpet.
