COMMENTS (1)
[04-Apr-2011] We rented 2nd floor of the 2 family house. There are 4 bedrooms, spacious living room, large kitchen, decent bathroom, small pantry and a full attic. Besides the poor pain job (which we didn't mind) the bathroom is alright. The vanities are not newest, but they work just fine. The attic is hudge and perfect for hanging out or throwing parties. There is also a basement that you share with the other floor which is good for storage. There are 2 washing machines and driers located in basement that are free. They are old but they do the job for the most part. Just like in any old house, the windows are drafty, although they are not that old. Roger is an extremely helpful landlord. Although, in your lease, there is a late fee for not paid rent, as long as you give him a good reason he will be willing to wait for the payment few extra days. He always addressed our concerns in a timely manner. The handyman that he hires is not the best, but if you complain to landlord he will send another to fix the problem. His prices are extremely affordible for New Brunswick which is awesome for the students. House is located approximately 5 blocks from Collage Hall bus stop, about 2 blocks from Cook Campus. In the opposite direction, there is a liquor store just few blocks up the street, A&P store up the road with fast food and other restaurants (part of North Brunswick). The area is not as safe as the dorms but is definately much safer than some parts of New Brunswick. I have loved there only for 1 year, but never had any problems or witnessed any crime. There is no driveway, but there are 2 garages that landlord can rent out for an extra charge. Like stated before, landlord is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to help you out. The house is in pretty good shape for New Brunswick and really in good price. I would definately rent there again if I wasn't graduating.
