[29-Sep-2011] When we moved in, there was a faulty security system in place. It was to be repaired, but the system was so old that the new keypad would not operate the system. We spent the next 5 months with a hole in the wall and no security system because he never had anyone come and replace the system. The apartment was filthy when we moved in. I spent two hours cleaning one small bathroom and it still needed more work done. The worst part about moving into a dirty apartment was that he supposedly had a cleaning crew in there and probably charged the previous tenants. Upon my departure from the apartment, my room mates and I spent a long time cleaning the apartment, making sure everything was spotless. The landlord still deducted money from our security deposit as well as a mystery $50 gone. He won't return our phone calls or answer his door at home. He also is incredibly difficult to speak to if he ever does respond. Trying to get a word in a conversation has never been more difficult. He doesn't listen to you. Please do not rent from this person. He uses rental agencies to show the apartment so make sure to ask who owns the property before renting any apartment.
