COMMENTS (1)
[08-Feb-2012] Brian O'neill lied on the final check list, did not require a final inspection with me present after cleaning and repairs were done. He gave me a checklist of items to complete upon moving out, which I completed in full. He promised me the security deposit back in full the first week of January 2012. I did not receive the check until the first of February, and it was for less than half the amount of my full deposit. Among the items he requested was re-painting a wall in the foyer and cleaning walls and toilets in the bathrooms. I went and purchased paint from Home Depot with my own funds as well as rented a steam cleaner and shampooed the carpets myself. Upon completing all items on his checklist, I called him and told him the work was completed to which he said Thank You and another inspection would not be necessary; he told me I would receive my full deposit in the mail within a week. Once I received the refund, a three page front to back letter was attached where he had taken the month of January to hire a professional painter, professional steam cleaner, and professional house keeper to go behind me and re-do EVERYTHING I had just spent time and money doing. I have HD PHOTOS of all rooms and surfaces after I had cleaned and repaired everything. He also lied about the last rent payment that was made, stating it was late and deducting another $50 off my deposit. He is extremely unfriendly and conniving and I wish I had never moved in to his condo. Do not rent from or trust this person.
