[09-Jul-2012] Mr. Wacker performed some helpful repairs while we lived in this residence. Conversely, he did not communicate some of his expectations clearly to us and was sometimes unpleasant about problems with the house.
After we had moved out, Mr. Wacker retained our deposit for longer than Washington state laws dictate. Only when we reached Mr. Wacker at home, did he explain his plan to use our deposit against any outstanding utility bills, which he had kept in his name.
Mr. Wacker deducted the cost of utilities from the deposit, which was reasonable. He deducted an additional $100, however, for mowing and edging the lawn. He never stated that it was up to us to edge the lawn. The figure of $100 seems excessive, especially when he stated over the phone that he would absorb this cost.
Overall the property was overpriced, and the negatives outweighed the positives. |
