[02-Apr-2013] I personally don't agree with the Iowa expectation that it's ok to have tenants do the landlord's lawn work. It should be a landlord's responsibility if you ask me, so that's an annoyance at this property. Also, don't expect great customer service at the Locators office. They're often rude and no matter how many times I tell them they can't get my name straight. I wanted to work with them once to help me find a house and they wanted me to sign a contract legally binding me to work exclusively with them. That seemed kind of shady to me. And last, the property is a bit run down and worn out. It's my experience that most landlords are concerned more with profit than providing a comfortable place to live -- this clashes with my values, but perhaps this isn't a concern of yours. In general this landlord fulfills his responsibilities though.
