[15-Jul-2013] Sue Chaffee has taken her sweet time with refunding our security deposit. Upon moving out, we waited 30 days before reaching out to her about our deposit refund. She said she was still working on some things which seemed odd because new renters had already moved in (wouldn't you fix everything THEN have them move in) So she said things were taking longer because she had to work around their schedule. We just asked her to keep us updated. So we waited, and then waited some more. 2 weeks went by and nothing. So I sent an email asking her for an update. It took her a week to respond with all but still working on it. This went on for a month. Over 3 months after we moved out, we received a letter with a few receipts attached and a general labor charge for $30/hr. We are still trying to work with her to resolve as most of the labor fees are erroneous painting charges. She was fine to work with during our lease. Any problems that arose, she was able to get fixed in a timely fashion. However, expectations were not set in the lease about repainting the entire condo and a proper move in inspection was not completed which led to erroneous charges for things that were in the same condition as when we moved in. Will complete this update once dispute is settled in or out of court.
