[05-Sep-2013] Mark thinks of his tenants as lesser people.
When I moved in the toilet didn't work properly. The first 5+ times that I approached Mark about it, he told me that it wasn't important and he wouldn't deal with it. Eventually he came to accept that something needed to be done, but I've lived here for 3 months and it still hasn't been fixed. During the initial conversation about the toilet he was disrespectful to my wife.
This next one isn't so much a criticism as a warning. He gives 0 wiggle room on rent due. I contacted him in good faith because I was concerned that my rent had not gone through yet. He tagged on a $50 late fee.
Mark often makes comments of such as "In my 16 years doing this I've never heard of this..." He used that gem to belittle our concerns about the toilet. He also used it when we asked the square footage of the apartment while trying to decide if we wanted to move in. There have been a few other situations like that. |
