[09-May-2014] Avoid at all costs. This landlady is batshit crazy. She comes and goes in the apartment as she pleases. She does not believe that she has to give any notice. She told me "It's my house, I can do what I want." She continues to insist (and advertise) the apartment as 700-800 sq. feet, though she knows (as I have shown her many times) that it is only 621 feet, including walls, cabinet space and closets. I left because the guy on the other side was drunk and threatening me (over something she told him I complained about - but I didn't) and I had to call the police on him at 1:30 in the morning. He pays more rent, so she didn't see him as a problem. I gave 5 weeks notice and left the place spotless. From the time I gave notice, she paraded people through the apartment as she pleased. I was lucky to get a voicemail that said "coming through in an hour," but most often she wouldn't say anything (but I knew she went through - technology). We'll see if she returns my deposit, but I doubt it. Yes the apartments are clean, but it's not worth having to deal with such an ignorant wretch.
