| [17-Aug-2014] I had my doubts moving in, and then had multiple issues over the course of living in this home. The landlord either made repairs cheaply to small issues or asked the tenant to repair the issues with deduction of the repair from our rent. At first it didn't seem like much, but we often made repairs to the home due to improper care of the home prior to us moving in. She did respond within a few days with issues, and scheduled repairs within a week or so of having issues. But having a plumber in the home 2-3x/month due to existing problems prior to rental was stressful. The house had multiple major issues that were temporarily fixed including a tree root growing into the plumbing and/or toilet, causing permanently leaking and generally malfunctioning toilet. The plumbing in the kitchen and garage w/d froze anytime it was under 30 degrees outside. And lastly, the house had a major rat infestation prior to us renting the home, which ultimately forced us to move. This landlord seems to know that multiple problems exist in the home without properly taking care of them, then writing it in the rental contract that it's the tenant's responsibility. I feel like others that rent from this landlord should know what to expect, so I felt that a review would be helpful for others. |
