[06-Mar-2016] Partner of Rima Majaess. Although Phil initially seemed more reasonable, in time his true character was revealed, and we found him to be quite unreasonable and difficult to talk to. Our house was designed to have an air exchanger, and it broke while we were there, resulting in the whole house becoming mouldy and damp. The landlords refused to fix it, and instead suggested that we clean the mould off the doors and windows and also open the windows for an hour a day (which would be fine except it was the middle of winter and -15 C outside!). Then there was an issue with Christmas lights - I hung 2 conservative strands of white lights, and I had about a dozen emails, at first directing me to limit the hours of usage to 4.5 hours a day (we paid the powerbill so i'm not sure why this was an issue) and then eventually commanding that I take them down. Then there was the post-rental inspection. We returned the house to the nice clean state that it was in when we started renting, however the landlord went to extreme lengths to point out "dirty" areas, including pulling out the stove and fridge and emails of photos of dirt behind them. These are just examples, there are more stories like this. I know its a nice location. But avoid renting here at all costs. I wish we had never met these landlords.
