[05-Oct-2017] DO NOT rent from her. When visiting, the apartment seemed great and clean. I moved in several months later and during that time, NOTHING had been cleaned, the fridge and freezer were completely full of rotten trash. The oldest items expired back in 2012, 4.5 years after I moved in. When trying to contact her about anything she would take several months to respond to a simple question. A few weeks after moving in, I discovered that the apartment had mice living in it, and she neglected to answer any requests to exterminate them. I was then left to exterminate and dispose of them myself, as I couldn't afford to hire an exterminator. The seat on the one toilet I had access to was broken prior to my moving in and I was left in the dust again to fix it at my own expense. She constantly found ways to overcharge on electricity and gas, and would do anything to make an extra buck. The fire alarm in the main area of the apartment was broken, and over the course of a year she neglected to do anything about it. Upon moving out, she proceeded to double charge my roommate and I for damages (we were both charged full price for missing items that only her son, who lived for half a year in the apartment, used). She then charged both of us for utility bill underpayments even though we had both payed every bill on time. After taking as much money from us as possible, she started responding very rudely, as though she was in the right stealing money from us. I did some digging and discovered that she had spent over $200k buying this apartment for her daughter, which explains her greedy, money grubbing behavior. DO NOT rent any property from Sharad Jain, she is a horrible, greedy person who is only out to take as much money from you as possible.
