[08-Mar-2008] Horrible landlord on a horrible property. The apartment is falling apart and is skirting code violations, for example there is 1 socket in the entire apartment that was grounded, and I'm not saying 1 pair of sockets, no, 1 single socket and the landlord's response to repeated asking is to buy a few converters and pass it off. There are electrical sockets with no covering on them, musty, rotting furniture.
When we moved in the landlord had not cleaned the apartment from the last tenants, who were being kicked out for being too dirty. The kitchen was sticky, everywhere, I actually lost a shoe after standing in one spot for too long. Ontop of that, he knew when we were moving in and while we were under contract with him, he rented out our apartment to some chick who didn't bother removing all her stuff when we came to move in. There were moldy pots and chopsticks in the sink and my room had a bed that was partially made covered in long black hair.
It is an all around gross apartment: the kitchen sink broke and took him months to fix, the bathroom sink clogs like no other, the toilet is 3 sizes too small, the shower is made to have a glass door, but doesn't, not all the windows close, some of the windows are broken, not all the windows lock, not all the windows have screens or storm windows either, the majority of light switches in the apartment don't do anything.
