[12-Apr-2008] Do not rent from this company. I was the model tenant. When I moved in it was a quite non-smoking building. When the owner died his children turned the property over to Sunrise. They started renting to smokers. Tenants were raising hell and threatening other tenants. I called Sunrise and they told me to call the police. I called the police and they told me it was the responsibility of the management. I went to look at other properies. Some of them were managed by Sunrise. I drove up to one property. From about a block away I heard loud rap music. When I arrived at the property I saw the "For Rent" sign and a very large gang-banger looking guy standing in front of the door smoking a joint and drinking a beer and glaring at me. The music was coming from his apartment. I got the picture. I call the company "Slumrise" because their properties seem to turn into slums. You will be sorry if you get involved with this company!!!!!!! I went around to other properties and talked to tenants. Some of them had other horror stories about Sunrise Management companies. I got the same story from other management who ended up taking the accounts from Sunrise after they drove them into the ground.
