ADDITIONAL COMMENTS (1)
[30-Mar-2021] Do not rent from this landlord! She also uses Tessa Properties as the official landlord name in leases and contracts, but she manages all her properties herself (she has several, I don’t know all the addresses).

Many smaller issues with her, including the unwillingness to properly fix problems for tenants, like she tried to fix pipes herself instead of hiring a professional, resulting in repetitive leaking. The mailbox got broken into, and it took her over a month to get it fixed (several tenants in the apartment complex were affected by this and were all frustrated. This was before COVID). The main issue is her unrealistic expectation from tenants to return an essentially new apartment to her at the time of lease termination. To her there seems to be no such thing as “normal tear and wear” (like she demanded tenants to repair the natural degradation of the grouts around bathroom sink and shower).

She claimed that she has photos of the apartments before each new tenancy. And every little “damage” occurred during a tenancy, she would say it’s a huge problem and requires lots of money and effort to fix (when in reality they are very small issues or normal wear and tear), and that she has the photos to show that the problems/damages occurred during at “your” tenancy. Yet, when she put the apartments on different leasing platforms again, she used the same old photos of the apartment from a previous time (former tenants recognized those photos as the ones they saw on websites before they moved in. Who knows when were those taken).

Even when the tenant spent the effort to find a fix for the so-called problem she identified, she is unappreciative, said it’s the tenant’s “due diligent” to do so, and refused to commit to any reasonable plan for remedying those problems. Altogether, her management style leaves the tenants very frustrated and feeling bullied with their security deposit unjustly taken.
