[19-Dec-2024] Liliana Wilson views her tenants as an enemy. From speaking with neighbors, no tenants have lasted over a year; including me. She has no business being in the landlord business as she seems to have some type of mental disability. This only became evident after living there for some time. She has no idea how to actually take care of a house. Within 2 weeks of me moving in she threatened me with eviction, sent me a cease and desist letter, and got a lawyer involved.....all because I had my motorcycle parked in the crawlspace. She claimed I was storing hazardous materials...."gasoline". This is clearly not the case as people park cars in their garages inside their houses directly under bedrooms. Why didn't she make a fuss over my lawn mower, leaf blower, and weed whacker....all have gas in their gas tanks. After going back and forth with her attorney, she finally backed off. However, for the next 11 months while I was there she would continually harass me over this.
A large part of the basement was flooded over 20 times where all my belongings were stored. She refused to do anything about this. A dehumidifier must run 24/7 and be dumped twice per day of you don't want everything ruined. She asked ME to remove ALL of my belongings from the basement/crawl space so 'she' can try to find out where the water is coming from. She had no idea (until I told her) that she needs to bring in a basement waterproofing specialist for this. She said her attorney told her she could just do it; which is absurd. Btw, any conversation you have with her she will reference her attorney.
My lease was up September 30 and we agreed on a new lease renewal. She said she'd stop by the house on September 27 with 2 copies for signing but I wasn't home over that weekend so I told her to stop by the following week. Instead, on October 2 her attorney emailed me an Eviction Notice citing I haven't paid the rent. ONE DAY......really? I've paid the rent by Zelle on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd for 11 months straight. This lady is insane and does nothing but harass her tenants. She got her attorney to sue me for water damage, water clean-up, and other BS. We went to court in November and I got everything dismissed, saved $1,300 in rent, and just moved out by the end of the month.
She has not returned my security deposit yet and has already said she is deducting money for all sorts of things when the place was left in better condition than she gave it to me. An LED light in the bedroom doesn't work so she said she's getting a licensed electrician in to fix it. She literally doesn't know how to change a light bulb or fixture. She falsely claimed that she gave me 2 sets of keys when she did not and the lease said she did not. She said she was forced to have a locksmith change the locks and is charging me almost $400......for no reason; as she only gave me one set of keys. She also intentionally lied to me saying I didn't leave even one set of keys. Yet when I told her I have a photo of the keys left for her, she promptly changed her tune.
In my opinion based on my experience, the bottom line is that this woman is one of those people that has nothing going on in her life so she argues with you for attention. Contentious at every turn and threatens eviction over dubious claims. My advice is to not engage at all and avoid at all costs.
