[04-Apr-2010] Connie is a crazy, screaming landlord who cannot seem to speak in a normal tone of voice, hardly speaks English, and thinks that by screaming and berating you, she can get what she wants from you, which is usually to say that any repairs are your fault (even if it's clearly an electrical problem or boiler problem that you have no access to). She's not like this when you first meet her, but if you complain that you sent her the check a week early and so you should not be charged the $50 late fee, she'll claim that you didn't send it when you said you did. The only way around this that I found was to pay for delivery confirmation/signature of receipt, which she actually tried to argue was incorrect! Her husband, Steve, is silent, so I only ever dealt with his crazy wife, Connie. They also do not like to return the deposit and start screaming at you when you ask why. The best part of Connie's craziness is that she gets people to do what she wants by pretending not to understand their English whenever it's convenient for her, and then blaming you for not understanding her Chinese squeals!
