[25-Oct-2010] Landlady never answers her phone, appears to screen her calls and neglects to call you back, regardless of how urgent your situation is. You can plan on calling her a number of times as messages don't get passed to her husband.
Request for major repairs sent in a number of times by us and our neighbours were ignored. Requested repairs or communication in writing and they fail to acknowledge that the request or message was received. (Except for cashing rent check that was sent with the list of repairs.)
Planned on selling the property but did not communicate this with tenants. Only notification we received was from the real estate agent, telling us that she will be coming through the house with potential buyers.
Tenants have doubts as to whether wiring, plumbing, sewage , etc. is up to code. Had to purchase own smoke detectors, screens for windows (ones provided were dry-rotted), and only a few of the townhomes have washer and/or dryers. One has both, three have neither, and one has a dryer only. BUT all tenants pay same rent.
Landlady's mood is entirely unpredictable and she has been known to snap on you one minute and be sugary sweet the next.
That said, they do not hover over you and allow you your privacey. Rent did not increase as they tried to sell the property.
