[18-Jun-2013] John is a scam artist. You can find at least half a dozen lawsuits against him in the past 3 years in San Diego county.
He does not repair, or make sure the property is suitable for habitation. I had several gallons of disgusting water come pouring into the kitchen once, they would never come to investigate the reason.
Was given the apartment in disgusting shape, roach infested, uncleaned. Yet upon move out, was charged a cleaning fee. From my move-out 'inspection', I had gotten a written and signed letter talking about how clean the apartment was.
At the court case to try to reclaim the other 75% of our deposit he withheld, he showed up with fake documents signed by his Employees, and lies about me. After settlement, I was still unable to reclaim a large portion of our deposit since he would not pay or answer phone calls.
If you expect to live in a horrible quality apartment, with a land lord who will not talk to you unless you owe him money, then I recommend this apartment. For anybody looking to like where you live, have any problems with your apartment solved, and even plan on getting your money back after you move out, AVOID THIS MAN, and his properties.
