[07-Aug-2013] Jason Crocker provided the worst tenancy experience of my life. From the very beginning, he bad-mouthed his prior tenants, even going so far as to judge their personal items throughout our initial tour of the apartment. When we did move in, upon arrival we were given an absurd list of cleaning products we were "allowed" to use, that even included detailed instructions on how to clean. During our time living above the landlord, we experienced a multitude of other unreasonable "rules" and "requests", making it feel much as though we were children he was kind enough to let stay in his home, rather than paying tenants. We put up with his unprofessional behavior simply to avoid having to move, until his actions made it unbearable to live there any longer. When it was time for us to move, he gave us a comically exaggerated list of "issues" in an attempt to not return our full deposit. When contacting the previous tenants of this apartment, we discovered that they had experienced the exact same issues when living there. These prior tenants also noted that this landlord went to great lengths to keep a ridiculous portion of their deposit as well. Overall, I would say this landlord is unprofessional, condescending, childish, and rude. He is an absolute nightmare to try to have a respectful and professional landlord/tenant relationship with, and is willing to go to great lengths to try to screw his tenants out of money. I would not recommend ever renting from this person.
